What I want.
- I want to be the person inhabiting your brain when you’re distracted from working.
- I want to be the one you imagine laying beside you when you’re just about to fall asleep.
- I want you to look for me in a crowded room, even if there’s no chance of me being there.
- I want you to hope to run into me.
- I want you to think up hundreds of ways to start a conversation with me, but when I’m around all you can think to say is, “hey!”
- I want to hold you in one of those amazing-feeling hugs where you feel like everything shitty that has ever happened to you, every horrible feeling you’ve ever felt and every depressing thought you’ve ever thought is lost in the sudden rush of calmness and euphoria that is that embrace.
- I want me to be the first person to come to mind when you want to tell someone something.
- I want to feel you smile when we kiss.
- I want to be a kid with you. I want to make snowmen, or play board games, or make blanket forts, or play marco polo in the pool.
- I want to laugh and smile, but also be sad with you. I want emotions with you.
- I want to listen to music with you.
- I want you to teach me, and I want you to learn from me.
- I want to know, from the way you look at me and the way you tell me things, that no other person has ever made you feel the way I do. I want the same from me to you.
I guess I can’t say I’m asking for only a little. I’m not. Call it selfish, but I’m asking for everything.
